Each year every student’s progress is reviewed with parents and staff as part of the ESF Annual Review process. Should a review of placement within the ESF context be an agreed next step, a request for referral is made through the ESF Admissions and Review Process (ARP).
The ARP process includes consultation and may include updated assessments from the ESF student support services team. The process also includes an ESF team completing school based student observations, consultation with parents and staff and a review of all reports to support the application. This information is presented and reviewed by the ARP moderation panel resulting in a recommendation for placement.
If the outcome of the process results in a recommendation for a student to continue their education in another ESF school, the Head of Student Support Services at ESFC will manage the school allocation.
