Principal’s Message
Celebrating student achievements with the Principal’s awards is a wonderful way to end the year.
It’s time for us all to have a break from the school routine and it’s also a time for us to say a sad farewell to some very important people.
After six years of loyal service as VP in our school Jenny will take the next step in her career. Jenny has done an enormous amount of work building our vocational education program in particular. She also brought a huge amount of expertise in ASDAN that she also shared with our ESF colleagues. I know that families have benefited from Jenny’s knowledge and skills and felt very supported by her. We all wish her the very best for the future and know that she will always be part of the JCSRS family.
Irene has been an education assistant at our school for more than 20 years. She has worked with just about every student in every classroom and she is highly respected and valued member of our team. It’s now time for her to spend more time with her grand daughter and enjoy a relaxing and productive retirement. Thank you Irene for your years of dedication and commitment to our students and our school. I know you will stay in touch with us and we wish you all the best.
Rita has also shown her loyalty and dedication to ESF and our school. She has cared for us for over 20 years and contributed in many ways to the smooth running of our school. She is a quiet achiever who takes great pride in her work and this is greatly appreciated by us all. We wish Rita a happy and relaxing retirement and we know she will come and visit us from time to time. Thank you Rita.
Congratulations to our Senior EA Leanne who takes up a teaching position in the new school year. We will miss your amazing organisation skills and your ability to be so flexible and work all across the school. Lucky students who will have you as their teacher. Thank you Leanne.
Minnie’s son Gavin graduates from school this year and this means we are loosing a truly dedicated member of our PTA. Minnie has been treasurer for 12 years as well as taking on a number of voluntary jobs organising buses, supporting fundraising and helping with the school uniform ….. and so much more. Minnie, on behalf of all of us at JCSRS we say a huge thank you for all that you have done. We wish you and your family all the very best.
Next year we welcome Belinda McLaughlin as our VP and Maidee Perido will take the Senior EA role. We will also enjoy getting to know the nine new students and their families.
Have a safe and happy holiday and we will see our students for a half day (9.50-11.30) on Wednesday 14th August
Kind Regards
Karin
