Principal’s Message

Dear families,

Like just about everything else right now, our fortnightly Friday newsletter cycle has been changing as we roll with changes to school and most things in our lives. So today’s newsletter comes to you on a Monday to celebrate our Expressive Arts week. From the video we shared at Friday’s assembly it is clear all students were able to enjoy the many learning activities on offer. Thank you again to all our families for your enthusiasm and extra effort. Also a huge thanks to all our staff, especially Holly, Sally, Sandra and Kelly for their leadership and hard work. I have already enjoyed watching this video several times and I expect that our students (and you?) may want to do the same. So much creativity and fun.

Today you will have received an email from me about 100 percent learning, 50 percent in schools. Remember that we are still waiting for EDB approval of our plans but I hope this helps you to begin to prepare and we will follow up on Wednesday with more detail including a video, social story and visuals. Our shared language is focused on what we need to do so we can be together and the 3 Ms

So we can be together

  • Metres Matter (social distancing)
  • Masks on
  • My hands need washing

We are very excited to be planning to see our students in person again after such a long time. I have seen a couple of you out and about or collecting items from school so I am well prepared for the fact that so many of our students have grown so much taller. We know that we may experience hitches and glitches as our students manage this change but we are doing all that we can to help with preparations for a smooth, safe and enjoyable last few weeks.

Warm Regards

Karin
